ENTRY INFORMATION

 

Entry Fee: $3.00 per Rabbit per show (both open and youth)

Late Fees: $4.00 per Rabbit per show (both open and youth)

 

Send all entries to Marge Drake, Show Secretary at the above address.

 

Mail-in, Call-ins and E-mail entries must be received

by 8:00 am, Thurs. February 12, 2009. Anything received after this will be subject to late entry fees.

Showroom will be open at 6:30 am the day of the show. All substitutions must be made before 8:00 am. Judging to begin at 8:30 am sharp!

 

A Registrar will be on site.

Please remember to bring your ARBA  membership card, pedigree, and $6.00 per rabbit registration fee.

We are sorry, but the showroom will not be available to leave rabbits overnight. It will be open Saturday morning at 6:30 am.           

 

Show Rules

 

1.       This show shall be governed by the latest rules of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and the filling of entries indicates acceptance of these rules.

2.       Neither MSRBA nor the Covington County Administration is responsible for loss, damage, or injury to rabbits, exhibitors, or exhibitor(s)’ property. Parents will be responsible for their children’s actions.

3.       All rabbits must be permanently and legibly marked in the left ear.

4.       Upon arrival, after 6:30 am, exhibitors should report to the show secretary’s desk to pick up their pre-entry forms to verify or correct of their entries and to pay entry fees.

5.       NO SUBSTITUTION- except in same breed, sex, variety, and class. All substitutions and changes must be made before 8:00 am.

6.       Any rabbit already entered under one owner’s name and sold prior to the judging of its breed must be judged as entered or scratched form competitions.

7.       Judging begins at 8:30 am. All entry fees must be paid prior to judging of show. No refund is made for scratches, no-shows, or disqualifications.

8.       The MSRBA reserves the right to add and/ or substitute judges as needed.

9.       The show superintendent will determine the judging order for the MSRBA shows. The judging order will be posted at each judging table during the show.

10.   The show committee will furnish scales, and these scales will be the official scales for judging all rabbits.

11.   The Judge’s decision is final

12.   Any exhibitor indicating ownership of rabbits on the judging table, harassing, interfering with or attempting to influence judges will be disqualified and all fees and winnings will be forfeited.

13.   No persons will be allowed behind the judging table except the judge and the official helpers.

14.   Remark cards will not be used but will be available at the show secretary’s table for those who wish to write their own.

15.   Any rabbits showing signs of disease will be removed form the show site, and entry fees will be forfeited. This includes any rabbit showing signs of snuffles.

 

NO SMOKING WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE OR AROUND ANY OF THE DOORS. SMOKING WILL BE ALLOWED ONLY IN THE DESIGNATED OUTSIDE AREA AROUND THE BACK OF THE BUILDING.

Trophies will be given to:

Rosettes will be given to:

·         BOB and BOS in Open Show A and B

Trophies will be given to:

·         Best In Show and First Runner-up

 in Youth Show A and B

·         BOB and BOS in Youth Show A and B

Mini Rex Traveling Trophy

·         Donated by Kyle Gordon will be presented to the

Best Of Breed Mini Rex Show A Youth

 

RAFFLE

Many nice items will be available. We greatly welcome and appreciate any

 items you would like to contribute.

 

SILENT AUCTION

Several nice items will be offered on a silent auction basis.

 

FOOD

Snacks and refreshments will be sold during the show.

We will not be serving lunch but we will take a break at lunch time. There are several eating establishments within one or two miles of the show.

 

WRITERS NEEDED!!!!!!!!

 

We will be requesting volunteer writers, age 15 years and older, for the judging sheets. Please try to be available for this. Please let us know at check-in time if you would like to write. We will have a drawing for a $25.00 gift card from Wal-Mart.  Writers only will be eligible for this drawing. Drawing will be at the end of show.

 

 

 

If you have any trophies that you no longer want, please bring them to the show. Mr. Norman Simbeck still processes trophies for youth at All Southern Shows when requested at no cost to the club.  Any old trophies that you could bring would be appreciated.

Coming from the north, on Hwy 49, look for Covington House restaurant on the right and turn left at first crossover. Go ½ mi. to 1st building on left. Coming from the south on Hwy 49, go approx 2½ mi north past Hwy 84. Look for Latco Poultry Supply, turn right on 1st road to show site.
